Background: Vanessa studied business in Paris before moving to California and becoming a teacher. She started out teaching at the International School of San Francisco, and went on to be a teacher at Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley for 6 years. She studied early childhood education and has now worked in the field for 24 years! Her experience and wisdom on childcare has not only been a great support for the children but is also incredible for the parents. She takes great care in supporting all parents in their journeys with their children while fostering a welcoming comuunity. She finds working with children to be a source of inspiration and loves expanding their curiosities. Her two daughters inspire her most of all.

Background: Alix is a dynamic and talented educator who’s been working in childcare for 20 years! She studied education in France, and then furthered her education in early childhood upon moving to California. She worked at Les BouTchou for 5 years, and has been working at Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley for 8 years. She’s worked with kids of all ages and knows exactly how to connect with each one of them. She has two sons in middle/elementary school at EB! Her multitude of creative outlets bring incredible teaching opportunities for her students!

Background: Ana Maria is an incredibly crafty and energetic teacher who’s been working in childcare for 5 years! Before childcare, she was an administrator at a hospital in Columbia and studied at the Universidad Del Valle. Having fully transitioned towards childcare she is now completing her early childhood education units! She’s incredibly creative in her free time; drawing, beading jewelry, crafting etc. and she brings that infectious desire to create to all children! She is also incredibly athletic and the kids absolutely adore running around with her.

Background: Alejandro has been working in childcare for 9 years! He initially studied to be an electrician at the Instituto Nacional Azenon Sierra in El Salvador, before discovering his passion for childcare. His diverse background makes him great at creative problem solving and bringing in new perspectives. He’s especially good at anticipating needs and playing with the babies. His outgoing personality and easy going energy makes him an excellent caretaker.

Background: Nawal studied at Hadid Paramedical in Algeria, and was a nurse for 6 years before becoming an educator. She has now completed 12 early childhood education units and has been working in childcare for 3 years. She is incredibly compassionate and nurtures kids to grow. She loves the children’s curiosity and is always ready to go on adventures with them.

Background: Mounia studied architecture at Saad Dahlab Blida in Algeria, she then worked as an architect for 6 years. She has now found a passion for childcare and has started studying early childhood education. She has incredibly kind and motivated energy that she brings to Les BouTchou every day. When she is not in the kitchen cooking fabulous meals, she is taking care of her three lovely children!

Background: Bahia worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor in Alameda for 3 years, before working in childcare. Apart from working at the daycare, she’s been a full time nanny, a teacher’s assistant at Berkeley High School, a camp counselor, and a tutor. She has now been working with children for 6 years! In her spare time she creates art in a variety of mediums which she loves to explore with the kids.
