French After School Program
We’re now offering a new after school program at Les BouTchou, made to enrich children’s french language skills through projects, play, and community. The children will have the opportunity to learn and progress rapidly while using practical French to complete art projects, baking, music, games, and more. Learning in this way creates a comfortable environment that breaks down the barriers and occasional shyness that comes with learning a second language. Additionally, it will make your child gain confidence to speak up, and continue learning beyond our classroom.
Meet the Teacher - Alix
Alix is a France native who moved to California several years ago. She's a dynamic, caring, and motivated instructor. Alix first worked at Les BouTchou in 2015, and currently works at L'Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley. She has a French degree in education, and has been working with preschool, elementary, and middle school aged children for 20 years. She's passionate, innovative, and incredible with kids. Her favorite thing about them is how they bring love and joy. She loves the colors red, gold, and black, her favorite animals are black panthers!
What we offer
The program is open to children from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade, with all levels of French. A mixed age group encourages cooperation and collaboration, which promotes fast learning when it comes to building a second language. We will be creating projects around a monthly seasonal theme, typically relating to french culture, and traditions. We will also be working with kids interest and fold those into our curriculum. The kids will get to create their own bilingual community that will make way for great friendships. We encourage parents to bond with one another as well to foster these relationships beyond the program!
Pricing
Fall Session - September 3rd, 2025 to December 18th, 2025 - $2100
Spring Session - January 5th, 2026 to May 28th, 2026 - $2700
Each session meets twice a week from 4:00-5:30pm with the choice between either Monday/Wednesday, or Tuesday/Thursday
